Infographics have easily become one of my favorite things on the Internet. When done right, they can be an effective and elegant way to display a set of information. In our previous infographic posts, you’ve seen The T-Shirt Lifecycle and What Your Band T-Shirt Says About You. This latest infographic find beautifully shares 20 interesting facts about t-shirts that you might not have known.
Summertime is here, and the music festival season has officially begun. In our last post, Leann described her experience at last summer’s Bonaroo music festival and shared some tour shirts for the 2011 Bonaroo lineup. Anyone that calls them self a music fan has at least one t-shirt featuring a favorite musical artist. The kind of music you listen to can say a lot about who you are as an individual–emotionally, spiritually, politically, etc.–and the t-shirt is a great way to proclaim your musical taste as well as your general personality.
Below is a humorous infographic created by Shane Snow for MTV.com entitled, “What Your Band T-Shirt Says About You.” Check it out and see what your favorite band t-shirt might be communicating to the rest of the world.
A lot of people, of the course of their lifetime, accumulate quite a lot of t-shirts. And, whether they realize it or not, they inevitably categorize their collection of tees by purposes, uses, and perceived value. Think about it. Some shirts we may only wear when we’re doing yard work or painting. Other shirts may only be used for sleeping in, never to be seen in public. Still, another shirt could be a prized possession–perhaps from a tour of your favorite band or a rare find at a vintage clothing store.
Nick Foster, from the design blog Sleeping In My Head, has created an infographic entitled “The T-Shirt Lifecycle” that beautifully illustrates his own subconscious categorization of his t-shirt collection. Click here to visit his blog to see the high-res version of the image below.
